The Amazon is burning because the world eats so much meat

Cosmic in P. Burgos and General Luna looks like a modern dining room in a condominium building. It offers a mix of Filipino, Italian, American and Mexican dishes made of plant ingredients which are locally sourced to help Filipino farmers. Some of the crowd favorites are their “special bagnet,” which duplicates the crunch and taste of real deep-fried pork belly; and, sisig, which is made of vital wheat gluten and tofu – meat substitutes for minced pig head and chicken liver.

Reasons has been in the business of offering healthy alternatives since 2013, and is known to be the only vegan food place in the province. The café in the deep south of Lucena provides Filipino and international options, including vegan blueberry cheesecake and vegan calamari. It is perfect for bibliophiles and artists who seek a respite from the world of people who are always scrolling up and down their social media accounts.

The food place offers Filipino comfort food and dishes, and its Krispy Kare Kare, Binagoongan, Vulalo, Sinigang sa Ube, Vegchong Kawali – all of which are free from animal products and yet they sell like hotcakes.This café takes pride in the fact that it is the only food place in Pangasinan that sells fresh and plant-based food and drinks.
