The week-long transport holiday being organized by transportation groups will push through despite the LTFRB's decision to extend the deadline for jeepney operators to join or form cooperatives to December 31, 2023.

The week-long transport holiday being organized by transportation groups will push through despite the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board's decision to extend the deadline for jeepney operators to join or form cooperatives to December 31, 2023.

The LTFRB earlier said it would issue a new memorandum circular which would extend the scheduled June 30 deadline for the consolidation. Valbuena said he has yet to see a copy of the document but he was informed it did not include solutions to one of their grievances. “Ano implications nito? Panibagong gastos ulit,” said.

Time na tlga mag step up Ang govt sa pagpapatakbo Ng mass transpo.

No, please. There's no point in pushing it through. The people, riding public will no longer be sympathetic if it will. The deadline is already extended up to the end of 2023. Continue the dialogue though.

CASA means na convenient, accessible, safe and secure, and affordable," Bautista said. If the Dept of Transportation wants to modernize the public utility vehicles, the Dept of Transportation should buy those modern vehicles and hire the displaced drivers. That is the purpose of the Dept of Transportation and not regulating the provision of public transport.
