MANILA -- Ballet Manila announced Thursday that its upcoming performance of "Giselle" will now be held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Main Theater instead of the Aliw Theater, which had been damaged by the fire that gutted the Star City theme park.

The Aliw and Star Theaters, both located in the Star City complex, have been home to the classical ballet company for close to 20 years, such that the decision to move venues was made with a heavy heart, it said in a statement. "Star Theater is no more; Aliw Theater has sustained damage. But Ballet Manila will dance -- no matter what," the company wrote on Facebook, adding that they have rescheduled the show to October 17.

According to the company, all tickets purchased for the originally scheduled shows on October 19 and 20 will be honored on the new date. Buyers will also have the option for a refund. A huge fire hit Star City early Wednesday, damaging not only the Aliw and Star Theaters but also the Manila Broadcasting Co. building. The amusement park operators, however, are targeting to re-open within the year.
