The Department of Health reminded the public to eat in moderation during the New Year’s Eve celebration on Tuesday, December 31.“Excess of anything is always bad, except for excessively being good–walang problema doon [there’s no problem on it],” said Health Secretary Francisco Duque III.
“Yung mga may diabetes or boderline diabetes ay lalong-lalala ang inyong kalagayan kung walang preno sa pagkain ng mga matatamis, maaalat [those with diabetes or borderline diabetes may worsen their conditions if they don’t control themselves on eating sugary and salty food],” he added. There is also a tendency that the result of their blood exams will be high because they don’t diet],” he said.
