Health Secretary Francisco Duque III advised the public that the best greetings are to simply wave or give a flying kiss.“Or flying kiss. When you do the flying kiss, make sure it doesn’t touch your lips. And you also don’t talk while you are delivering the kiss. Airborne delivery of the kiss,” he added.

Depsite this suggestion, Duque reiterated that the COVID-19 is not airborne and is transmitted through droplets. “Not to say that the COVID is airborne. it is not airborne. It is via respiratory droplet, still is the mode of transmission,” he noted. He issued the precautions amid the continuous fear on the COVID-19. DOH said 455 individuals have been and are being monitored for viral infection.

On a global scale, almost 1,400 individuals have died due to the virus, while those infected have surpassed 60,000.
