WATCH: Amid battle against COVID19, doctors sing inspiring 'Lead Me Lord' cover

MANILA — Here’s a touching video of a group of doctors singing “Lead Me Lord” to lift the spirits of their colleagues amid the raging coronavirus pandemic.

Upped this Friday, the video showed individual recordings from each of the 21 doctors in the video —all of which are alumni of the official choir group of the University of the Philippines College of Medicine— stitched together to create a moving cover of the inspiring hymn. According to the doctors in the video, they initially thought of doing an online concert, but the quarantine in Luzon meant that they could not all come together for it.

Their goal for the video, they added, is to raise awareness about the lack of protection they are getting on the frontlines, as well as sound calls for mass testing. Nine doctors in the country have already died of COVID-19. As of Friday, the total number of confirmed cases in the country stand at 803, with 54 deaths. The cover was composed by Arnel de Pano, who is said to be currently battling pneumonia, with arrangement from Robert Delgado.
