The Golden State Warriors will acquire forward Kyle Anderson from the Minnesota Timberwolves in a sign-and-trade agreement, ESPN reported Tuesday.The Warriors are giving Anderson a three-year, $27 million contract, per ESPN, and sending the Wolves cash and a future second-round pick swap.Golden State opened the new league year by dealing guard Klay Thompson to the Dallas Mavericks in a sign-and-trade, which generated a financial trade exception that the franchise will use on Anderson.
Anderson, 30, has spent his 10-year NBA career with the San Antonio Spurs , Memphis Grizzlies and Timberwolves . His best year came in 2020-21 with Memphis, when he received votes for Most Improved Player after averaging 12.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game over 69 starts.Anderson put up 6.4 points, 4.2 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game in 79 appearances last season for Minnesota. He has career averages of 6.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 653 games .
