Vietnamese national arrested for 'unruly behavior' in Naia

A 19-year-old Vietnamese woman named Ban Thi Van was arrested for causing a disturbance at Ninoy Aquino International Airport – Terminal 3, the authorities reported on Wednesday.

During the inspection, she grabbed her passport from the immigration officer aggressively and threw herself on the floor, causing a scene by shouting which led to chaos in the immigration departure area. She was taken to the Immigration bureau’s head office for inquest proceedings and later transferred to Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City for deportation.Binh Minh, also Vietnamese, caused a disturbance by walking naked in the airport’s immigration area and was offloaded before boarding a Cebu Pacific Air flight for Hanoi.

As the chair of the Senate Committee on Public Services, Tulfo stressed the importance of properly training airport security personnel to handle such situations.
