The City Government of Valenzuela launched the Volunteering Programme Development and Management at the Valenzuela City Town Hall on Wednesday, Sept. 21.

In partnership with the Public Employment Service Office , Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office , Valenzuela City Development Office , Voluntary Service Overseas — Philippines , United States Agency for International Development , Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency , and Education Development Center , the Volunteering Programme Development and Management was established to serve as a support mechanism to the Opportunity 2.

Gaw also highlighted the importance of the private sector and civil society organizations in promoting volunteerism in the community. This will help in addressing the problem of having many OSYs who lack the skills to be in demand in the labor world.
