MANILA, Philippines: The UST Golden Tigresses denied the Adamson Lady Falcons, 25-18, 22-25, 25-15, 28-26, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday, March 16 to complete a first round sweep of the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball.
Angge Poyos unleashed 18 points includingi the off the block hit to lead the Golden Tigresses, who improved to 7-0 that now stands as their best start in the UAAP Final Four era.This also the second time that UST sweep the first round, with the first time happening in the 2006-2007 season albeit it was only 6-0 since there were only seven teams that year due to La Salle's suspension.
