The unprecedented growth of digital platforms, especially social media, in the last decade has intensified the call toDubbed as UP Visayas’ largest gathering of media personalities, advocates, and academics, the 3rd National Conference on Democracy and Disinformation will be running under the theme, “New Normal, New Media: The Emerging Challenges of Disinformation in the Philippines.”
The conversation on disinformation and democracy continues as the university, in partnership with the Consortium on Democracy and Disinformation, UPV Division of Humanities, UPV Information and Publications Office , DYUP 102.7 FM, Rappler’s MovePH, and the Daily Guardian, brings the discussion online through a Zoom webinar where 1,000 participants coming from various parts of the country are expected to attend.
