MANILA, Philippines -- National University's Kevin Quiambao, a member of the UAAP Season 82 Boys' Basketball Mythical Team, recently did his part to help out the frontliners and volunteers in his hometown of Barangay Bayanan in Muntinlupa City.
The 19-year-old Quiambao pooled together funds from his own pocket as well as his friends and family to produce 150 packed meals."Nag-decide kami mag-helpout para makatulong kami kahit paano and para alam din po na naa-apreciate namin yung pag sakripisyo ng mga frontliners," said Quiambao, who was also a member of the national 3x3 youth basketball team.
"Sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam na nagagawa mo yung part mo bilang isang Pilipino dahil isa ako sa ginawang instrumento ni Lord para makatulong kahit papaano," he added. Quiambao joins the ranks of National U athletes who have extended a helping hand to frontliners during the novel coronavirus pandemic. Last month, Jack Animan of their women's basketball team started a fundraiser for the staff of the Bulacan Medical Center.
