Pumaren was on his way to Adamson's practice at Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong when he felt "unbearable" pain.He rushed to Medical City before being transferred to the VRP Medical Center, but was cleared to show up to Adamson's game against the Blue Eagles at Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday afternoon.
"I'm happy with the way the coaches, the players prepared themselves today sa game," said Pumaren, whose team dropped to 3-6 in the tournament. Pumaren is now set to return to the hospital, but intends to be there for the Falcons next game on Saturday against National University. Pumaren's effort was hailed by Ateneo counterpart Tab Baldwin, who called the Adamson coach "courageous."
