MANILA, Philippines -- There are no regrets for the UAAP stars who failed to make it to the Philippines' 15-man pool for the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, as they instead look forward to cheering for their "kuyas" in Gilas Pilipinas.
But Tim Cone opted to go with an all-pro line-up, selecting six of his own players from Ginebra to anchor the team that also features the comebacking Jayson Castro and reigning PBA Most Valuable Player June Mar Fajardo."Sayang," he said. "I think if that's what the SBP and the PSC think would be fit for this tournament, then so be it," said the two-time Finals MVP. "I wish them all the best. They have a very strong line-up, just by looking at it on paper, parang mai-starstruck ka na. So, I just can't wait to watch them play in the SEA Games."
"We all know them, what they are capable of doing, and we all know Coach Tim is really a good coach," he said.
