The trough of a low pressure area outside the country’s area of responsibility, as well as the northeast monsoon, may continue to bring rains over several areas in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Saturday, Feb. 5.
PAGASA warned against possible flash floods or landslides due to the occurrence of moderate to at times heavy rains in these areas. Meanwhile, Batanes, Cagayan, and Apayao may have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon, locally called “amihan.”
