Tropical Storm Siony joins Typhoon Rolly in PAR

, another tropical cyclone entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Sunday, November 1.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said in a bulletin released past noon on Sunday that the tropical storm with the international name Atsani entered PAR at 8 am.Siony is located 1,365 kilometers east of Central Luzon, moving west northwest at a relatively fast 30 kilometers per hour .

At the moment, the tropical storm has maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h and gustiness of up to 90 km/h. Fortunately, Siony"remains less likely to affect any portion of the country over the next 2 to 3 days," according to PAGASA.More detailed forecasts on Siony are expected in the coming days.An average of 20 tropical cyclones form within or enter PAR each year.
