At a public briefing, TRB spokesperson Julius Corpuz said they expect the management of Easytrip RFID tags to fast-track the replacement.
“Kung hindi nila magagawa, hindi kami aabot doon sa Phase 3 ng ating interoperability kung saan isang tag, wallet na lamang ang gagamitin kagaya ng panukala ng ating Congressman Sandro Marcos,” he said. Under the Phase 1 of the Toll Collection Interoperability Project, Corpuz said Autosweep RFID tags issued by the San Miguel Group were made readable at the Easytrip system.
Under Phase 2, Easytrip RFID tags issued by Metro Pacific Tollways were also made readable at the Autosweep system. But, Corpuz said some Easytrip tags cannot be read by the Autosweep system.Autosweep covers the Skyway, the South Luzon Expressway , the STAR Tollway, the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway , the NAIA Expressway , and the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway .
Meanwhile, Easytrip covers the North Luzon Expressway , the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway , the Manila-Cavite Expressway , the C5 Southlink, and the Cavite-Laguna Expressway .
