A doctors’ group on Monday, Feb. 14, said it is still too early to downgrade Metro Manila to Alert Level 1 this month as a lot of individuals are still not vaccinated against coronavirus disease .
During the Laging Handa briefing, Philippine Medical Society President Dr. Benito Atienza said he prefers that more people get vaccinated first before relaxing COVID-19 restrictions. “[Para] sa amin, ang kailangan muna mabakunahan lahat. Marami pa ring senior at immunocompromised and hindi pa nababakunahan ,” Atienza said.
“Yung ating babakunahan na kabataan, five to 11 ang dami nyan, 15.8 million, e ang nababakunahan pa lang natin according to Dr. Cabotaje is 69,800 ,” he added.Metro Manila is under Alert Level 2 until Feb. 15.
