Tokyo 2020: what are the new Olympic sports and what can we expect?With Tokyo 2020 kicking off this week, what new sports can we expect on the agenda? Visitors may be banned from attending the Games due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but there will be plenty of action to see on

our screens. Six sports have been added to the program, four of which are making their Olympic debut; surfing, skateboarding, sport climbing, karate. They were chosen from a shortlist of 26, and join classic sports such as athletics, fencing, cycling, gymnastics and swimming.
