CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO — Brigadier General Westrimundo D Obinque, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 1, has ordered the immediate investigation of the alleged firefight between supporters of two mayoral candidates in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur where four were killed and another wounded on Saturday morning.
Four victims allegedly from the Salvador side were killed in the said clash. They were identified as Recto Bacdayan Bagani, 65, of Brgy. Ayeng Manabo, Abra; Jovito Ramos Tumaneng, 61, a retired enlisted Phil Army and a resident of Brgy Bagut, Dingras, Ilocos Norte; Lerry Pol Harmon Torda, 41, resident of Brgy Maratudo, Magsingal, Ilocos Sur; and William Sican Bulil-lit, 61, Former CAFGU, and Former Brgy Capt, and a resident of Brgy. Barbaquezo, Carasi, Ilocos Norte.
Responding PNP personnel were able to arrest Minelio Tolentino Oliver, 38, and Eddie Unciano Unso, 38, Barangay Tanod, both residents of Brgy Patong, Magsingal, Ilocos Sur.
