Check out local bakery Apicapica's latest treat: the multi-layeredApicapica's homemade fantasy bar tastes like a less sweet and unprocessed version of my favorite Twix chocolate bar. At the bottom is a thin layer of Apicapica's signature dark chocolate ganache , and above it a generous layer of milky, crunchy polvoron.
The buttery polvoron melts alongside Apicapica's gooey caramel sauce and the creamy milk chocolate, which is the fantasy bar's topmost layer. One indulgent bite of the fantasy bar and you get the best of all four sweet worlds, without it tasting overly sweet, or having one ingredient overpowering another.
Apicapica's new fantasy bar, which is topped with an edible gold flake, costs P260, good for one or two people. However, please note that I could easily finish one bar by myself! The bar is best enjoyed when chilled, but it also works at room temperature if you prefer chocolate that's more melted than firm.made of three indulgent layers – moist chocolate cake, caramel, and chocolate ganache.
