Here are the big stories making the headlines on ANC today: Cabinet men tried to clarify the president’s statement in the SONA that China is in possession of areas in the West Philippine Sea but only succeeded in muddling and confusing the issue some more. While the president clearly said China was “in possession,” National Security Adviser Jun Esperon said the president actually meant “in position.” He was even seconded by Defense Sec. Delfin Lorenzana. Right.
It’s the committee tasked to investigate the deaths related to the war on drugs, of which he was at one time its chief architect. The Office of Solicitor General reportedly had a hand in preparing the affidavit of Peter Joemel Advincula alias “Bikoy” on the sedition charges against Vice President Leni Robredo and other members of the opposition. The Palace had denied the government had anything to do with the sedition complaint.
