Changing middle and high school schedules can lead to significantly improved shut-eye for students, a new study found.
She said the research team found no significant difference in elementary school students' sleep times after the hour change. When students don't get enough sleep -- which he said is up to nine hours per night for teenagers -- it can negatively affect their memory, learning ability, and mental and physical health, Hasler added.
