The Taguig City government reported that its weekly new COVID-19 cases increased amid the transmission of the Omicron variant in the National Capital Region.

The Taguig City government reported that its weekly new coronavirus disease cases increased amid the transmission of the Omicron variant in the National Capital Region .

As of Feb. 5, Taguig has 336 active COVID-19 cases including 314 new cases out of 62,498 confirmed cases, 61,710 recoveries and 452 deaths. The top five most common violations committed were not observing social distancing protocols, not wearing face masks, no vaccination card, loitering in violation of quarantine rules and prohibited leisure activities.
