The Taguig City government will establish more vaccination checkpoints in line with the implementation of the policy restricting the movement of unvaccinated individuals.

In a COVID-19 report video by the city government, Taguig Safe City Task Force head Clarence Santos said the vaccination checkpoints were rolled out in high-risk barangays through the help of the police, the Tapang, Malasakit and Disiplina team, and Barangay Affairs Office.People who pass through the checkpoints are being checked about their vaccination status by asking them to present their vaccination cards.

If the flagged unvaccinated individuals refuse to get vaccinated, they will be taken to a COVID-19 testing site or to a barangay health center for them to get their medical certificate from the barangay health center or City Health Office. According to Santos, 14 additional vaccination checkpoints will be established in strategic locations in Taguig.

The Taguig Safe City Task Force adopted the resolution and issued Advisory No. 62 restricting the movement of unvaccinated persons. – “Be prohibited in indoor and outdoor/al fresco dining in restaurants and other food establishments and shall likewise be prohibited from leisure or social trips to malls, hotels, event venues, Taguig City Hall, sports and country clubs, and similar facilities;
