Taguig City residents get food packs from local gov’t as two-week ECQ starts

The food packs delivered house-to-house on Thursday include rice, canned goods, coffee, energy drinks, and instant noodles which consumption should be good for three to four days, according to the local government unit.“We guarantee you that the needs of every family will be taken care of. We will make sure that assistance from both the local and national government will be distributed to Taguigeños,” Mayor Lino Cayetano said in a statement.

Metro Manila was again placed under the strictest lockdown in a bid by the national government to avert the possible spread of the highly contagious COVID-19 Delta variant which may cause a surge in coronavirus cases. The nation’s capital region will be under ECQ from August 6-20.
