The Taguig City government on Wednesday said it moved the deadline for the payment of city taxes and other obligations to May 20 amid coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.

This after the national government decided to extend the filing of income and other corporate taxes from April 15 to May 15 to give citizens ample time to settle their payments.

“We want to ease the burden the COVID-19 pandemic has given to Taguigeño stakeholders. At this point, the safety, security and health of the families of the city take precedence over taxes,” Cayetano said. The executive order implemented City Ordinance No. 9 Series of 2020, which was signed last March 20, that authorized the city mayor to extend deadlines for taxes and other payables due to the city.

Disinfection of Cebu City roads beginsCDNTopStories: The Cebu City government took advantage of the lesser number of vehicles and people on the city’s major thoroughfares and began disinfecting these areas to bolster the fight against the spread of the coronavirus disease here. I hope it's not just the roads though. People don't walk on the road, but on the sidewalk. Curious lang. What is the liquid used for disinfection? Is that pure water? Or water mixed with something else? di necessary ang pag disinfect roads sa Cebu dahil mainit naman dyan di ba? Let the heat of the sun alone burn the virus! Binasa nyo pa! Siguraduhin nyo lang na hindi sabon hinalo sa tubig yan ha! Alam naman siguro ninyo na sa wet surfaces din nag thrive ang covid
