Starting March 22, restaurants, food stalls, fast food chains, coffee shops, and other related businesses which are closed every Monday for disinfection will have their deliveries and take-out services suspended as well.

This was after Executive Order No. 359 was signed on Tuesday by Mayor Agnes Tolentino.

The EO stated that the local government is continuously calibrating its policies and guidelines in the prevention and control of coronavirus disease cases in the city. It also mentioned that the increase in COVID-19 cases necessitated the implementation of stricter measures to prevent people from gathering in numbers which may provide avenues for the transmission of the virus.

Last Oct. 1, 2020, Tolentino signed EO No. 243 mandating business establishments such as hotels; standalone restaurants; fast food chains; restaurants and fast food chains within malls, food stalls at the Mahogany Market; amusement parks and theme parks; and souvenir shops and pasalubong centers to conduct disinfection and other similar preventive measures every Monday.
