The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group arrested one of the suspects in the case of the disappearance of car trader Jaime Faramil and the murder of his companion Rodrigo Dueña.
According to Emil Sumangil's report on "24 Oras," the suspect Ranilez Ramirez Mendoza fell in the hands of authorities through an arrest warrant earlier issued by the court.According to the CIDG, Mendoza serves as "runner" in the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group impounding area in Calamba, Laguna. Authorities seized a gun from him.
"Dahil ito sa isang tip na itong suspect nga po ay dadaan sa probinsya ng Batangas so nagsagawa tayo ng operation para maaresto," Police Major Jet Sayno of CIDG Batangas said.Six others, including four members of the HPG, are facing charges linked to the case. "At least may nakikita kaming linaw, sa October 27 may hearing kami dapat mag-attend sya...Itong mga striker na 'to, baka sila pa ang maging susi," Andrew Zano, brother of Faramil, said.Meanwhile, the families of missing real estate agents Paul John Ferolino and Rodelo Lareno Jr. received new information about the case.
