MANILA, Philippines – Rainfall and wind warnings remained in effect as Super Typhoon Goring maintained its generally slow pace over the Philippine Sea on Sunday afternoon, August 27.It continues to have maximum sustained winds of 185 km/h and gustiness of up to 230 km/h.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said in a briefing past 5 pm on Sunday that Goring will begin heading east in the next 12 hours. Afterwards, the super typhoon will turn northeast and north on Monday, August 28, before shifting northwest on Tuesday, August 29.
