BALITANG-BALITA ang outbreak ng pertussis o whooping cough sa ilang lungsod sa Metro Manila. Dito po sa atin sa Makati, zero cases po tayo ng sakit na ito, pero mas mabuti po ang mag-ingat upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng sakit sa komunidad.
Ayon sa Department of Health, ang unang dose ay ibinibigay ng 1 1/2 months; ang ikalawa ay 2 1/2 months; at ang huling turok ay kapag 3 ½ months old na si baby. Libre po ito sa mga health center. Panata na namin nina Luis at Martina tuwing Huwebes Santo ang mag-ikot sa kalbaryo/kubol at makiisa sa pagdarasal. Mayroon tayong 75 kalbaryo sa barangay Poblacion at Guadalupe Viejo ngayong taon.
