Malnutrition in the Philippines continues to plague young Filipino children.
According to Joahna Lei Casilao's report on "Stand for Truth," Nutritionist of Rise Against Hunger said the basis of malnutrition is not simply over- and undereating as it also looks into the weight and complete nutrition of a child. Malnutrition, in all its forms, includes undernutrition , inadequate vitamins or minerals, overweight, obesity, and resulting diet-related non-communicable diseases.According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, 23.9% or 9.3 million children in the country are considered poor while 8.1% are food poor.
