The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is affecting the western section of Luzon on Sunday and will bring cloudy skies and rain showers over parts of the country, PAGASA said in its forecast.

The Ilocos Region, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. Flooding or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the monsoon and localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms. Coastal waters will be rough in Extreme Northern Luzon, moderate to rough in the rest of Luzon, and slight to moderate in Visayas and Mindanao.
