Solicitor General forms team to probe if Bamban mayor can hold public office

The Office of the Solicitor General has already created a special team of solicitors to determine whether Bamban Mayor Alice Guo has the legal right to hold a public position.

“I created a special team of solicitors to look into the matter and determine if there is good reason to believe that the subject is unlawfully holding or exercising public office,” Guevarra said in a text message. The Solicitor General said they are currently coordinating with the Commission on Elections , Department of the Interior and Local Government , Philippine Statistics Authority , Department of Education , Bureau of Immigration , and other concerned agencies.
