The slight increase in the number of coronavirus disease infections in Metro Manila “feels like a Valentine spike,” an OCTA Research fellow said.

“632 new cases in the National Capital Region . With mostly fresh cases, this feels like a Valentine spike. The figure shows that it is above the Jan. 24 projections. Let’s continue to practice health protocols,” said OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David in a tweet on Wednesday evening, Feb. 16. In a separate tweet, David likewise disclosed that with 632 new infections as of Feb. 16, Metro Manila topped the list of provinces and regions with the most number of new COVID-19 cases.NCR
