MANILA, Philippines – Pacesetting University of the Philippines tries to run away from the pack when it takes on the winless Far Eastern University in the UAAP Season 86 men’s basketball tournament Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The vengeful Maroons took down the Falcons, 68-51, Warriors, 84-69, and the Bulldogs, 78-60, with reigning MVP Malick Diouf, who was named the Collegiate Press Corps’ UAAP Player of the Week, at the helm behind monstrous averages so far. In women’s basketball, vastly improved UP also stakes its perfect slate against FEU at 1 p.m. under the leadership of the first UAAP women’s Player of the Week Favour Onoh.
