The Food and Drug Administration has now clarified that it does not recommend Sinovac Biotech's vaccine for health workers treating Covid-19 patients, but it endorses the China-made shot for other frontliners who are not treating such cases. READ:

“The FDA director is now further clarifying or qualifying his remarks saying that it is not recommended for health workers treating Covid-19 cases,” Angara said upon conferring with Domingo.

Angara also mentioned that Domingo informed him that the efficacy rate of Sinovac vaccine was at 91% for “non-health frontliners.”against using the Sinovac vaccine for health care workers. “Therefore, the fronliners would have to wait while the other sectors are being vaccinated. But that’s hypothetical, we do hope they all come and so that our frontliners will get the recommended rather than the Sinovac vaccine,” he added.

During the plenary session, Angara said: “To use the analogy of Senator Lacson about the chef, I think the chef is just telling us that this dish is spicy, that other dish may contain nuts so it is not recommended to those who may have an adverse reaction to nuts. He’s not telling us not to take it.”“And the science is telling him that for certain groups, it may not be suited.

First time I've heard of a medicine with occupational preference. Im curious to know why or how.

No to Chinese vaccines.

The more I see this, the more it feels they are bribing our medical community to stay silent. What is there to talk about? If there is. drug out there that offers more than 51% efficacy, one shot and handles current variations of covid, why can’t we talk about that?

That reasoning is so dense & out of touch to the reality. COVID is transmitted in the community. The physician may be seeing a possible COVID patient without him/her knowing it. And if that patient is tested, it takes at least a few days to know the result.

Isn't the purpose of vaccine is to provide immunity or at least less adverse affliction with Covid 19? So why inoculate with Sinovac if it's ineffective?

In the market right now no one of vaccine include Healthcare worker In trial , only this vaccine show real effective in very mind symptoms , which other vaccine never include it . As i Healthcare worker i want to receive this vaccine than others.

Regardless of whether they work directly with patients with covid or not, they have a really high risk because of exposure esp sa clinics, labs or hospitals..
