The full implementation of the single ticketing system in the National Capital Region will start by the end of April, Metro Manila Council (MMC) president and San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora said Wednesday.

During the Kapihan sa Manila Bay forum, Zamora said the dry run for the new system will roll out for the first and second week of April.

“Ang mangyayari ho ngayon by first to second week of April yung eight local government units ang magda-dry run including San Juan. And by the end of April, we are looking to fully implement already,” he said. The deadline for NCR LGUSs to amend their ordinances in line with the single ticketing system is on Wednesday, March 15.

Zamora said that two weeks ago, only around eight LGUs had amended their ordinances. He said he expects that more LGUs have already complied now.establish a uniform policy on traffic violations and penalty system in Metro ManilaIt would cover Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela, Quezon City, Marikina, Pasig, Taguig, Makati, Manila, Mandaluyong, San Juan, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, and Pateros.

The Metro Manila Traffic Code of 2023, which will serve as the guideline for the system, includes 20 most common traffic violation penalties that will be imposed uniformly in NCR:
