SOME highly spirited citizens are reported to have sent personal emails to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. asking him to revoke his decision not to declare the commemoration of the 1986 'EDSA revolution' as a nonworking special holiday for Filipinos.

Marcos has not acknowledged receiving or reading any of these emails, but some have announced sending them directly to him.

They wanted to show how strongly they feel about the military mutiny that ousted the late president Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. after having been in office for 21 years, and installed Corazon Aquino, after losing the Feb. 7, 1986 'snap' presidential election, as 'revolutionary president.
