The shear line and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring cloudy skies and rains across the country, PAGASA said on Saturday.

In its 4 p.m. weather forecast, PAGASA said Eastern Visayas, Surigao del Norte, and the Dinagat Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line. Palawan, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, and the rest of Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the shear line.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon due to the Northeast Monsoon, but no significant impact is expected. The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Luzon, Visayas, and the eastern section of Mindanao will have moderate to strong wind speeds moving northeast and moderate to rough coastal water conditions. The rest of Mindanao will have light to moderate wind speeds moving northeast to north and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.Sherylin Untalan/VBL, GMA Integrated News
