Seven frontliners at the Kanlungan Palma and University of the Philippines Health Service (UPHS) have tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

“Their close contacts have been traced by the UPHS Public Health Unit,” it added.

UP said services in Kanlungan Palma and UPHS will continue as per its consultation with an infectious disease specialist. “Rest assured that the UPHS is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation on campus and will be updating the community about this,” UP added. Kanlungan Palma is an isolation facility at UP Diliman which houses suspect and probable cases of COVID-19 who are waiting for their test results. The isolation facility started operations in May.
