AUTHORITIES are trying to find a Cessna plane that went missing a few hours after takeoff in Cauayan, Isabela on Tuesday afternoon.Based on initial reports, the six-seater Cessna 206 plane left Cauayan Domestic Airport in Barangay San Fermin at 2:16 p.m. According to airport personnel, the plane was supposed to arrive at Maconacon, a coastal town also in Isabela, at 3 p.m.The names of the pilot and the five passengers were not immediately available.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippine , in a report, said its operations center received an 'uncertainty phase alert ' at 3:17 pm from Cauayan Tower involving the missing plane.The CAAP said the situation is now being considered in the Distress Phase .Col. Ma. Consuelo Castillo, Philippine Air Force spokesman, said the PAF was among those tapped to assist in the search.
