The military is prepared for any eventuality in the upcoming 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games 2019 hosted by the Philippines.

“We do not see the likelihood but it’s better to be ready, right? We are implementing precautionary measures,” Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said on Monday.

He added that visitors to the sporting events should expect strict security for the safety of the participants and the general public. General Noel Clement, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines , said the military is “ready” to secure the SEA Games as he uplifted the morale of the soldier-athletes.
