A Saudia Airlines plane with 420 passengers and crew on board veered off the pavement at the end portion of Taxiway Charlie after landing, the Manila International Airport Authority said on Monday.MIAA officials said the incident occurred at 1:47 p.m.
One of the aircraft's right landing gears veered off enroute to its parking bay at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and ended up on the soft grassy portion of the taxiway. Its wheels got stuck.All passengers and crew were safe and unhurt, the MIAA said. They were later shuttled from the site going to Terminal 1.No flights were affected.MIAA General Manager Ed Monreal and Civil Aviation Authority Director General Jim Sydiongco supervised the recovery operations. The plane was towed.
