The San Juan City local government started administering on Saturday, Dec. 4, COVID-19 booster shots to all persons with comorbidities, essential workers, and indigent population amid the threat of the Omicron variant, which is said to be more transmissible than the Delta variant.

Residents who received their second dose of any vaccine brand six months ago are now eligible to get their booster shots, while those who received Janssen at least three months ago may also register and receive the booster jabs. “We welcome this progress because more and more people are going out and we need to protect them from the virus, especially now that a new variant has emerged,” he added.
