Samsung announced their new Neo QLED TV at CES 2021 on Monday, January 11.
Physically, the LEDs found on the Neo QLED TV sets are said to be smaller, specifically 1/40 of the height of a conventional LED. This allows for finer control of the LEDs, lessening the problem of blooming wherein light leaks from one LED to another, resulting in a washed out image quality. The technology will also enable improvements in HDR imagery.
The new TVs will also come with Samsung Health Smart Trainer, which allows the TV to analyze your exercise session with a webcam, and super ultra-wide aspect ratio support.
