Sahod ng mga kasambahay sa Metro Manila itataas pagpasok ng 2020

MAYNILA - Epektibo na sa Enero 2, 2020 ang P5,000 kada buwan na minimum wage para sa lahat ng kasambahay sa National Capital Region, ayon sa Department of Labor and Employment. "Yung last order kasi was 2017. So medyo matagal na kaya we took it upon ourselves to approve an increase kahit walang petition," ani Sarah Mirasol, regional director ng DOLE - NCR. Pero hindi kasama rito ang mga service provider, family driver, mga may foster family arrangement at minsanan lang magtrabagho.

Pero bukod dito, nagpaalala si Mirasol na dapat bayaran ng mga employer ang iba pang benepisyo na dapat ipagkaloob sa kanilang mga kasambahay. Umaasa ang DOLE na maeengganyo ang mga kasambahay na manatili sa bansa imbis na mag-overseas Filipino worker. Pag-aaralan naman ngayon ng DOLE- NCR ang hirit ng isang labor alliance na itaas sa P750 ang minimum wage ng iba pang manggagawa.
