ROUNDUP: News in and around Metro Manila (Aug. 20, 2019)

A 24-year-old man was arrested by the police after he accidentally killed his father with a wooden paddle when he interfered in the altercation of his parents inside their house in Quezon City on Monday night.

The suspect suddenly interfered the couple which irked Diomedes prompting him to hit his son’s body with an umbrella. Meanwhile, officers of QCPD’s Batasan Police Station immediately nabbed Dominic who stayed inside their house.Further investigation is now ongoing to shed light on the incident.About P56,000 worth of suspected shabu were yielded from four drug suspects, including a minor, in a buy-bust operation at Barangay San Roque in Navotas City.

According to a report, the four suspects were arrested after they sold a sachet of suspected shabu worth P300 to a poseur buyer.
