The sudden spike in the number of new COVID-19 cases is expected with the government’s move to gradually reopen the economy, Malacañang said. | DJEsguerraINQ

WATCH: After plenary session, ‘Bato’ tells colleagues in jest: ‘Sarap ng buhay, ganto na lang tayo palagi ha’

Metro Manila, Laguna, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Zambales, and Angeles City were placed under MECQ, a transition period between the strict enhanced community quarantine and a general community quarantine until May 31. Only Cebu City and Mandaue City in the Visayas remain under ECQ while the rest of the country is now under GCQ.

Members of the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases are set to meet on Wednesday to come up with a recommendation on what to do with the coronavirus lockdown. The IATF recommendation is subject to the approval of President Rodrigo Duterte although he has not rejected any of the proposals earlier submitted by the task force.

DJEsguerraINQ It only shows that your IATF failed to handle this crisis.... You have no more to offer. Cases going up..... People are hungry.... People with no more jobs...... Economy badly damaged...... And you still have the guts to say.....u'r good?

DJEsguerraINQ Sa mga mamamayan na naman isisi. How can we be sure na yang spike na yan ay di dahil sa backlog at positives na kailangan pang iconfirm? Real-time na ba ang results (meaning in2-3 days after test, may result na)? Ayusin nyo nga nilalabas nyong data.

DJEsguerraINQ Wala pa nga reopening may spike na ano ka ba Harry 🤣🤣

DJEsguerraINQ So pra saan ang ECQ for 2 months+ ? N

DJEsguerraINQ It only shows that the govt was not able to contain the virus in 2.5mos.. no planning ...no foresight... they just waited & see 🤷🏻‍♀️

DJEsguerraINQ Huh?

DJEsguerraINQ So ibig sabihin, nagkakahawahan ulit. Dumadami taong lumalabas e.

DJEsguerraINQ Oo nga! Ginigisa niyo nga kami sa sarili naming mantika eh! 😷

DJEsguerraINQ We already know na dito talaga papunta. Para at least we can be sure sa safety nila.

DJEsguerraINQ If this is expected, can it also be expected that there is in place, a strategy to control? If this expected, what spike percentage is expected? Which areas? Can health facilities in these areas cope with the spike? Still a lot of questions to be answered but still wanting.

DJEsguerraINQ Super useless

DJEsguerraINQ I hope the people who made the decision to reopen early will admit their mistake & not pass it on to the people they call 'pasaway.'

DJEsguerraINQ I think it would be more accurate to say that the spike in cases is brought about by the increase in testing. The more testing is done, the more cases are discovered.

DJEsguerraINQ So expected, normal lng ganun. Bahala na kami sa mga buhay namin. Wala man lng kayo plano kng ano gagawin nyo.

DJEsguerraINQ

DJEsguerraINQ What?

DJEsguerraINQ Meaning? Napaka!!!

DJEsguerraINQ So why reopen? When you mow the end result?! So why did we waste 2 months in lockdown and all the countries money when it was just going to happen anyways

DJEsguerraINQ Seriously this government?!!! You had 70+ days to fight this virus so that we don't have to hear this shit from you. That's like saying, 'after wasting 70+ days of your life, we really don't care if you die after all. Best of luck to you bwahaha.'

DJEsguerraINQ aka the 'Bahala Na Mentality' reopening the economy is fine and all, but are the safeguards to keep the 'sudden spike' of cases already in place, or are just going to open up hoping for the best? 8k tests a day with 7k positive results in the backlog is not very encouraging

DJEsguerraINQ natural nag rapid test kayo . normal yan . actually pareho din tayo sa ibang bansa , 100k above ang may corona . pero now open na , at they cannot wait for vaccine wala na kakainin ang tao . pag d pa binuksan , pati mag nanakaw ngayon nag reklamo n din . wala n manakaw

DJEsguerraINQ What kind of stupidity is this?

DJEsguerraINQ Do not reopen if thats the case. All of us are trying hard to protect ourselves. But the virus is invisible to the normal eye. We are more exposed if we are outside.

DJEsguerraINQ So, okay lang sa Malacañang yun? 🤔😔
