Former vice president Leni Robredo’s fundraising effort, dedicated to finance programs under her non-governmental organization “Angat Buhay,” brought in over P1 million during its launch on July 1.

Robredo, in a Facebook post on Friday night, gave an update on the initiative after the NGO kick off at her Volunteer Center along Katipunan Ave. in Quezon City.

Angat Buhay’s four advocacy areas include food security and health, education, disaster relief and rehabilitation, and community engagement. Street and Art Festival marked the two-day launch of the Angat Buhay from July 1 to 2. Donors can get artworks with prices ranging from a minimum of P1,000 to a maximum of P10,000.

The NGO launch served as an event for Robredo’s supporters, artists, and volunteer celebrities, to reunite and work together in support of its advocacy projects.
